The city of Bandar Lampung at the most southern tip of the island of Sumatra will this year host Indonesia’s annual travel mart: the Tourism Indonesia Mart & Expo (TIME) or Pasar Wisata Indonesia, to be held from October 12th to 14th at the Novotel Hotel Lampung. 

TIME is a special event that brings together Indonesia’s sellers to meet international buyers of Indonesia’s tourism products at this special “contract” show. The event will present the best of Indonesian tourism including popular travel destinations, incredible tourism sites, and the latest of Indonesia’s tourism hotels, destinations, airlines and services.

TIME was the first ever, and continues to be the only international travel mart in Indonesia allowing only special Business to Business contacts and negotiations, and is acknowledged by the international travel industry as the perfect meeting place for those who sell Indonesia’s tourism products and services (sellers) to directly meet the international market (buyers) all under one roof.

TIME has long been listed in the calendar of international travel marts together with such prestigious events as ITB Berlin, WTM London, Arabian Travel Mart (ATM), PATA Travel Mart, and similar.

This year marks the 17th edition of the Tourism Indonesia Mart & Expo (TIME). Last year, when TIME 2010 was staged in Lombok the event recorded a total transaction of US$ 17.8 million, while this year, organizers project an increase of between 15-18% to reach total estimated contracts to a value of US$ 20 million.  

During the signing of the MOU between the Indonesian Tourism Society (Masyarakat Pariwisata Indonesia) and the Culture & Tourism Office of Lampung Province, Chairperson and Steering Committee of TIME 2011, Meity Robot, said that “TIME buyers this year comprise international tour operators, while sellers include hotels, airlines and tourism destination stakeholders,” said Meity.

Over 100 buyers" from 30 countries will be present at this prestigious event, including those from the United States of America, Germany, and Holland. There will also be buyers from new markets for Indonesia such as Slovenia, Slovakia, Greece, the Czech Republic, and Mexico.

The 21st Krakatau Festival 2011

The Krakatau Festival is an annual special event which is an essential program for the province of Lampung. Entering its 21st edition, this year the festival is scheduled to be held from 12-16 October in concurrence with the Tourism Indonesia Mart & Expo (TIME) 2011 which will take place in Bandar Lampung.  As in previous years, the festival will be filled with a series of exciting events to watch and participate.

The festival will present an array of cultural splendors of Lampung Province by delegations of each district, from the deep rainforests of the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park all the way to the peak of the remnant of the mighty Mount Krakatau volcano lying between Sumatra and Java.

Krakatau Festival will commence on October 12th, 2011 with the grand opening ceremony of both the Krakatau Festival XXI and TIME 2011 where all delegates will be welcomed by the Governor of Lampung, Chairperson of the Indonesian Tourism Society and the Minister for Culture and Tourism.

There will also be a Pan Ensemble Music and an art performance entitled Karya Cipta Pesona Sai Bumi Ruwa Jurai.

On 13th October, the Lapangan Enggal in Bandar Lampung will be decorated with colorful costumes and eye-catching spectacles as the Cultural Carnaval parades through its streets.  On 5th October, the might of Mount Krakatau will be celebrated at Mahan Agung with music and performances in a show called Krakatau Night. Prior to the Krakatau Night, the exceptional elephants from the Way Kambas National Park will show their amazing skills in performing various acts at the Enggal Field, which includes a game of Tug of War against a group of people. 

The peak of the festival will occur on 16th October where participants will be taken for an extraordinary tour along the shore of Lampung , all the way to the foot of Mount Anak Krakatau volcano itself.  Among participants joining the tour are ambassadors from foreign countries with their spouses and staff, the Governor and vice governor of Lampung with families, members of the media, and TIME buyers and sellers. 

The festival will also be highlighted with various supporting events such as: a Photography Competition and Exhibition, a Painting Exhibition, a Music Festival, a Youth free-style talent show, a Kite Festival at Siger Tower, Paragliding Attractions, a Motorbike Rally, Ethnic Graffiti art contest, and a Lampung Culinary Bazaar.

Monumen Perjuangan Rakyat Bali, Lokasi monumen ini sangat strategis karena terletak di depan Kantor Gubernur Bali, tepatnya di Lapangan Renon Nitimandala. Kecamatan Denpasar Timur. Kejernihan Air Terjun Tegenungan (Bali, Indonesia)

Wisata yang lebih terkenal di Bali adalah wisata pantai dengan sejuta panorama keindahan pantainya yang eksotis. Sedangkan wisata air terjun atau curug masih menjadi alternatif. Padahal wisata air terjun tak kalah sensasinya dengan berwisata pantai. Nah, salah satu air terjun yang wajib Anda kunjungi ketika di Bali ialah Air Terjun Tegenungan yang berada di Gianyar.

Wisata ini kini kembali ramai oleh pengunjung dari berbagai daerah di nusantara maupun dari mancanegara. Dalam seharinya, diperkirakan ada sekitar 100 tamu yang datang ke objek wisata air terjun ini. Mereka begitu antusias menyaksikan keajaiban alam dimana air mengalir dengan derasnya dari ketinggian sekitar 20 meter.

Namun sayang kendala jalan menuju ke objek wisata ini nampaknya kurang mendapat perhatian. Tegenungan mengalami kerusakan jalan yang cukup parah, selain juga sempit. Jika tak segera diperbaiki dan direspons tentu hal demikian akan menjadi penghambat serius lajunya kepariwisataan Air Terjun Tegenungan ini. Beruntung, di sekitar objek air terjun sudah ada warung yang menjual makanan dan minuman ringan untuk menghilangkan rasa haus bagi wisatawan setelah turun ke sungai.

Selain wisatawan mancanegara, dalam musim liburan objek wisata tersebut juga banyak dikunjungi oleh wisatawan lokal sekitar Gianyar, Denpasar dan Klungkung. Tiap pengunjung dikenakan tiket masuk yang besarnya Rp 4.000 untuk orang dewasa dan Rp 2.000 untuk anak-anak.

Untuk menghindari hal-hal yang tak diinginkan, ada larangan bagi pengunjung yang ingin berenang. Tak seperti di air terjun yang lain, lokasi Air Terjun Tegenungan cukup berbahaya sehingga agak berisiko jika digunakan untuk berenang.

Selain menyuguhkan keindahan alam dan deretan pulau-pulau kecil, hutan lindung yang berada di balik pantai ini juga dihuni oleh satwa liar, seperti rusa, lutung, kera ekor panjang, lutung kuning, biawak, ayam hutan, dan sebagainya. Hewan liar tersebut memang sengaja dibiarkan berkembang biak di hutan sekitar pantai Papuma. Biasanya, hewan-hewan tersebut akan muncul pagi atau menjelang malam hari.

Bagi mereka yang punya hobi fotografi, tempat ini wajib hukumnya untuk dikunjungi. Pasir putih, Air laut yang membiru, Batu karang ataupun hutan di balik pantai wajib menjadi santapan para fotografer. Disini batu karangnya gede-gede, bahkan orang-orang menyebut beberapa batu karang yang besar itu sebagai pulau. Ada Pulau Batara Guru, Pulau Kresna, Pulau Narodo, Pulau Nusa Barong, Pulau Kajang, dan Pulau kodok. Hmm…. sungguh anugrah Tuhan yang Indah. A Dutch Geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914; at the time the lakes were red, blue and white. Mystery heritage - Lake Kelimutu : Indonesia Three Color Lakes Located on East of Flores

Kelimutu National Park is located on the island of Flores, Indonesia. It consists of a region with hills and mountains, with Mount Kelibara (1,731 m) as its highest peak. Mount Kelimutu, which has the three coloured lakes, is also located in this national park. This natural attraction is a destination for tourists.

The Kelimutu National Park in Flores island in the NTT province of Indonesia, features a 3 colored crater lake that changes color rather often. At the time of the nation’s independence (1945), the three lakes were white, red, and blue in color. Now, they are black, brown, and green. The lakes are separated by a very thin and steep cliff of rock that is rich in minerals, and the whole national park is full of exotic biodiversity nestled in a very natural rainforest setting.

Some endagered plant species are protected in this national park, such as: Toona spp., Anthocephalus cadamba, Canarium spp., Diospyros ferra, Alstonis scholaris, Schleichera oleosa, Casuarina equisetifolia and Anaphalis javanica. Some endangered animals can also be found here, such as: Javan Rusa, Wild boar sp., Red Junglefowl, Elanus sp. and Drongo sp. (Dicrurus sulphurea).

The four endemic mammals in the park include two montane rodents: Bunomys naso and Hainald’s Rat (Rattus hainaldi).

In this area, there is also an arboretum, a mini jungle (4,5 ha) represent flora biodiversity of Kelimutu National Park. The arboterum consists of 78 types of tree plants which are grouped into 36 families. Some of the Kelimutu’s endemic flora collections are uta onga (Begonia kelimutuensis), turuwara (Rhododendron renschianum), and arngoni (Vaccinium varingiaefolium).

Kelimutu is a volcano, close to the town of Moni in central Flores Island of Indonesia containing three summit crater lakes of varying colors. Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Lake of Old People) is usually blue and is the westernmost of the three lakes. The other two lakes, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of Young Men and Maidens) and Tiwu Ata Polo (Bewitched or Enchanted Lake) are separated by a shared crater wall and are typically green or red in color, respectively. The lake colors do vary on a periodic basis. Subaqueous fumaroles are the probable cause of active upwelling that occurs at the two eastern lakes.

The lake have been a source of minor phreatic eruptions in historical time. The summit of the compound 1639-m-high Kelimutu volcano is elongated two km in a WNW-ESE direction; the older cones of Kelido and Kelibara are located respectively three km to the north and two km to the south. The scenic lakes are a popular tourist destination. Keli Mutu is also of interest to geologists because the three lakes are different colors yet reside at the crest of the same volcano.

According to the local officer at Kelimutu National Park, the colour changed by chemical reaction of any minerals contained in the lake in triggered by volcano gas activity. The closest airports are Maumere, and Ende. There are regular flights to Maumere from Bali. The drive from Maumere to Moni, the town at the base of Keli Mutu, takes about 3 hours.

Lake of Kelimutu is one tourist attraction that is very interesting volcanic tourism, the lake is the mainstay of tourism on the island of Flores. Flores Island is an island located in the eastern Indonesian archipelago. From Jakarta, we can travel by using a flight from Jakarta (airport cengkareng) – Flores (Airport Wai Oti) by commercial aircraft.

To reach Lake kelimutu then continue our journey of about two hours from the town of Ende, Ende province of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), taken with a rental car through winding roads, ravines and cliffs, as well as road conditions are not smooth. GREEN CANYON - Hidden wonders of the world ( Pangandaran, Indonesia )

Surga yang tersembunyi ? Sebuah objek wisata alam Pangandaran , Ciamis yang bernama Green Canyon-lah jawabannya. Objek wisata ini merupakan perpaduan antara sungai, lembah hijau, hutan lindung, dan aneka stalaktit serta stalakmit yang luar biasa indah. Keindahannya berbalut dengan kesunyian, bagai surga yang tersembunyi.

Tidak hanya Bali ,.....  obyek wisata yang terkenal dengan keindahan alamnya. Di Jawa Barat, tepatnya di Kabupaten Ciamis, terdapat kawasan Pangandaran yang terkenal sebagai kawasan obyek wisata pantai yang sangat indah.
Selain Pangandaran, masih ada beberapa obyek wisata lain yang tidak kalah indahnya. Salah satunya adalah Cukang Taneuh atau yang dikenal dengan sebutan Green Canyon.

Obyek wisata ini berlokasi di Desa Kertayasa, Kecamatan Cijulang, dan berada di sepanjang sungai Cijulang — sekitar 31 km dari Pangandaran. Julukan Cukang Taneuh muncul karena di tengah sungai tersebut terdapat sebuah jembatan dari tanah selebar 3 meter dengan panjang 40 meter.

Jembatan tersebut menghubungkan dua desa yang juga menjadi obyek wisata terkenal, yakni Desa Kertayasa dengan Desa Batukaras. Di Desa Batukaras terdapat Pantai Batukaras yang terkenal sebagai kawasan berselancar air (water surfing).

Sedangkan sebutan Green Canyon muncul, karena biasanya pada musim kemarau air di dasar sungai akan terlihat berwarna hijau. Tapi, ada juga yang mengatakan julukan itu muncul dari dua orang wisatawan Eropa asal Perancis dan Swis bernama Frank dan Astrid.

 

Saat itu, pada tahun 1993, keduanya datang untuk melakukan wisata sungai di Cijulang. Mereka kemudian menyusuri sungai dari muara di Pantai Batukaras. Setelah kedua wisatawan itu berhasil menyelesaikan misinya, terkuaklah rahasia Cukang Taneuh yang selama ini dianggap sangat angker dan menakutkan.

Kemudian, dari mulut ke mulut, informasi keindahan Cukang Taneuh menyebarluas. Dari situ kemudian Pemerintah Kabupaten Ciamis memutuskan untuk membangun kawasan tersebut menjadi sebuah obyek wisata baru yang dilengkapi dengan berbagai fasilitas.

Sangat indah

Green Canyon menjadi sangat terkenal, karena panorama sungainya sangat indah. Mereka yang berkunjung kesana pasti akan terpana oleh keindahan aliran sungai yang sepanjang Cijulang. Keindahan itu akan selalu menyambut wisatawan begitu masuk ke gerbang obyek wisata tersebut.

Sungai tersebut begitu istimewa, karena memanjang dan membelah sebuah kawasan ngarai yang struktur fisiknya sangat mengagumkan. Mereka yang pernah berkunjung ke Green Canyon di Colorado, Amerika Serikat, pasti akan sepakat kalau ngarai di Cijulang itu sangat mirip Green Canyon.

Mereka yang belum pernah mengunjunginya, pasti akan tertantang untuk bisa kesana. Karena, akan diajak berwisata menikmati keindahan ngarai dengan berperahu. Sambil menikmati wisata perahu yang bisa dinaiki dari Dermaga Ciseuruh, pelancong akan disuguhi pemandangan alam yang luar biasa di sepanjang sisi kiri dan kanan sungai. Berbagai binatang, seperti monyet, pun selalu siap menyambut wisatawan dengan teriakan-teriakannya.

Untuk mencapai gua tersebut, Anda harus menyusuri sungai Cijulang menggunakan perahu yang disebut sebagai ketinting.Waktu yang diperlukan untuk melakukan perjalanan yang dimulai dari dermaga Ciseureuh menuju gua kurang lebih 30 menit

Di sisi aliran sungai Cijulang Anda dapat menikmati tebing bukit yang ditumbuhi hijaunya pepohonan yang rimbun dan bebatuan yang menghiasinya. Perjalanan tidak akan membosankan karena pemandangan yang indah dan santainya menikmati aliran sungai. Naik ketinting juga dapat menciptakan keunikan tersendiri.

Setelah melewati ‘lorong’ sungai, kita selanjutnya akan berjumpa dengan sebuah tempat yang memaksa kita harus turun dari perahu.
Di tempat tersebut, kita akan menjumpai deretan batu karang yang sangat indah dengan hiasan stalaktit dan stalagmit yang memesona. Batu karang juga yang memaksa kita untuk tidak melanjutkan perjalanan dengan perahu, karena alur sungai terhalang olehnya hingga sungai pun nampak bertingkat seperti tangga.

Tapi, kita tidak perlu khawatir meskipun tidak bisa melanjutkan perjalanan dengan perahu. Karena, pada titik inilah, wisatawan sebenarnya akan ditantang untuk bisa melihat keindahan Green Canyon yang sesungguhnya. Pilihannya: kita harus berani berenang hingga sampai ke hulu sungai.
Pilihan berenang ini biasanya sangat dihindari oleh wisatawan domestik. Justru, wisatawan mancanegara yang biasanya sangat antusias untuk melakukannya hingga ke hulu. Mereka yang melakukannya pun pasti tidak akan kecewa. Pasalnya, jika berhasil melewati rintangan sungai yang berarus pelan dengan kedalaman sekitar 10 meter, selanjutnya kita akan disuguhi pemandangan air terjun Palatar yang sangat memesona.

Saat melakukan perjalanan dengan cara berenang itu, sekali lagi, wisatawan akan ditemani deretan tebing berbatu yang dihiasi stalaktit dan stalagmit. Luar biasa! Bagi wisatawan yang tidak bisa berenang pun sebenarnya masih disediakan pilihan yang cukup ampuh. Di dermaga tebing tempat pemberhentian akhir perahu, ada beberapa orang warga setempat yang menyewakan ban.

Selain itu, setiap saat petugas dari penjaga obyek wisata Green Canyon akan selalu membantu wisatawan. Yang tinggal kita lakukan sekarang adalah rencanakan berangkat kesana. Cari waktu yang tepat. Dan sediakan uang tunai yang cukup.

Untuk akses berperahu, disana tersedia armada perahu yang cukup banyak. Ada 100 unit perahu yang siap setiap saat mengantar wisatawan. Setiap perahu akan dilengkapi seorang juru sopir dan petugas bantu.

Bagi para wisatawan yang ingin berlibur di green canyon di sarankan tidak datang pada musim hujan karena pada musim hujan curah hujan tinggi, air sungai akan berwarna coklat. Selain itu pada musim hujan ada kemungkinan air sungai akan pasang atau aliran air sungai yang terlalu deras sehingga tempat ini ditutup untuk umum demi keselamatan pengunjung.

UJUNG GENTENG – HIDDEN PARADISE

 

1.CURUG CIKASO (CIKASO WATERFALL)

Nama daerah ini terdengar lucu, namun daerah yang terletak di pesisir selatan Jawa Barat atau tepatnya berada sekitar 114 km arah barat kota Sukabumi (sekitar 210 km dari arah kota Jakarta ) menyimpan keindahan alam yang sangat indah . Daerah Ujung Genteng dapat ditempuh selama 7 jam dari Jakarta dengan perjalanan yang cukup mengasyikkan karena melewati jalanan sempit yang berkelok-kelok. 

Salah satu potensi kekayaan alam Ujung Genteng adalah air terjun (curug), seperti curug Cikaso yang merupakan tiga air terjun kembar dengan ketinggian sekitar 2 m. Curug Cikaso dapat ditempuh dengan cara trekking, namun jalannya kurang begitu bagus jadi lebih baik menggunakan perahu untuk menyusuri sungai yang dihiasi dengan rimbunnya pohon-pohon besar di kedua tepinya.

 

 

2.CURUG CIGANGSA (CIGANGSA WATERFALL)

Selain curug Cikaso, terdapat pula curug Cigangsa. Curug Cigangsa merupakan salah satu air terjun yang dapat dilihat dari atas yang hiasi dengan hijaunya pepohonan dan liku sungai dibawahnya.

 

 

3.PENANGKARAN PENYU ( TURTLE BREEDING )

Potensi wisata terbesar Ujung Genteng dan yang paling banyak diminati oleh para wisatawan (baik lokal maupun manca negara) adalah menyaksikan atau lebih tepatnya mengintip penyu hijau (cheloniamydas) bertelur dikawasan pantai Pangumbahan yang merupakan kawasan favorit bagi penyu hijau karena pasirnya yang lembut. Pada tahun 1990an setiap malam paling tidak sekitar 80 ekor penyu hijau merapat ke pantai untuk bertelur, namun saat ini hanya sekitar 1 atau 2 ekor saja yang merapat ke pantai setiap malamnya.
